Summary
Trader 535 yachts make excellent safe cruising motor yachts and because of their design, also provide very spacious and comfortable living space. Decks areas are all wide and large with heavy SS rails for safety. Boat handling is very positive due to twin screws and a powerful bow thruster.


With a Cat A hull, powered by Twin Yanmar 500hp Turbo charged diesel inboards on shaft drives, the yacht can be confidently cruised economically at moderate speeds typically between 8 to 13kn. Maximum speed is 19kn.


This particular Trader 535 Signature was built in 2003 and initially used as a demonstrator until 2007 and is the three cabin layout with the large aft master suite.


This yacht has been built and maintained to a very high standard and is in very good order having been owned by marine professionals for last 2 owners. Sailed mainly on the West Coast of Scotland, the yacht has enjoyed extensive servicing and upgrades. She was prepared ready for a European trip which has been postponed due to family issues. There are full electronic records available for all recent works and servicing.


Madadh is MCA Part 1 registered and VAT paid. Built and equipped to a very high specification, viewing is strongly recommended.

CONSTRUCTION



Semi Displacement GRP Hull, Deck and Superstructure.


GRP Aft deck canopy enclosure.


Bennet Trim Tabs with control at both helms.


Seastar hydraulic steering system and stainless steel rudders


Underwater hull was bead blasted and epoxy coated in 2017.


Topsides polished Nov 2024


Hull anodes replaced April 2025: transom, bow thruster, prop shafts, trim tabs and rudders.


Antifoul paint applied April 2025


DECK GEAR



Decks overlaid in 12mm Teak. Foredeck teak was replaced in 2023.


Anchor: 33kg Rocna (2022) with 70m of 10mm galvanised chain (2025). Original stainless steel Trader anchor is available. Fresh anchor wash (2023). SS chain stopper at bow roller and rope bridle with chain hook for anchoring.


Windlass: Maxwell 2200 VWC vertical electric windlass. Up/down controls (2024) on bow and at helm stations. Warping drum on top for use as rope winch.


Passerelle: Opacmare hydraulic combined Passarelle / Dinghy lift on bathing platform. New hoses 2025. Operated by remote or fixed controls.


Dinghy: Valliant 2.7m inflatable RIB, foot pump. 


Heavy polished SS bollards, cleats and fairleads on deck


Fender baskets on transom, with 6 x 90 x 30cm Majoni fenders.






MECHANICAL



2 x Yanmar 6CXM GTE2 500hp diesel inboard engines. Serviced, oil change and winterised each Autumn at lift out. Raw water pumps and fresh water pumps were rebuilt with new thermostats, bearings and seals (2021 & 2022). RW pipework and clamps replaced (2022), Alternators (2025). Engine mounts were replaced and engine alignment done (2025). New engine anodes and impellers were fitted as part of annual service (2025). Running hours approx. 1400 hrs each. Always start and run beautifully.


2 x Twin Disk MG5075A gearboxes. New output shaft seals and service (2024).


Racor 1000FH primary fuel filters, fitted with vacuum gauges.


2 x 57mm Dia Stainless steel shafts. Bronze stuffing glands serviced in 2024. Bronze 'P' Bracket and Bronze A bracket on each shaft. Rope cutters. 3 blade propellors, shaft anodes.


Kobelt electronic throttle and gearbox controls at each helm position. Emergency manual controls in E/R, cable operated


20hp hydraulic Bow Thruster Torkmaster BTB01


Onan 13.5kw generator, generously sized to run the onboard air conditioning system, battery charger, galley equipment etc. Running hours approx. 660hrs, serviced and winterised annually at lift out.






ELECTRICAL



Separate 240V panel and 12V panel


240v shore power supply (32A) or generator supply (60A)


32A shorepower cable has cablemaster system for motorised retraction.


240V outlets fitted throughout boat in cabins and E/R. 


12 volt boat electrics throughout are supplied by batteries charged by the engine alternators and / or the 240V battery charger (shore or generator).


Victron Centaur 12V/80 Amp Smart Charger (2024)


Domestic Batteries: 2 x 220 Amp/hrs AGM (2024), together with Victron smart shunt which gives usage and loading information to a smartphone.


Engine start (200AH) and Generator start (140AH) batteries: LA type

There are six berths in three cabins below decks. All cabinet finishes and linings in beautiful teak, with teak and holly flooring throughout. All areas have approx. 2.0m headroom. Beds are over 2.0m long.
